Defence and Security Industry Day is an annual event gathering representatives from the industry and public administration institutions and armed forces to allow them to discuss the urgent and topical issues and to showcase the state-of-the-art military products and services. In 2018, there were over 200 participants from national and municipal institutions, diplomatic corps, enterprises, NGOs from Latvia and other EU countries. Just a year later, the same event gathered more than 300 participants.

The Defence and Security Industry Day is traditionally organised by the Federation of Security and Defence Industries of Latvia in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia and features an international conference with participants from abroad (from the DG GROW, United Kingdom, Estonia, Israel, and other countries), as well as a fair of the products and services offered by the members of the Federation of Security and Defence Industries of Latvia. During the event, new products are presented and proposals for further cooperation between the science and industry are summarised interactively and using online tools.

Our task was to take care of the technical aspects of all the events, including coordination of service providers, sound and lighting systems, catering, premises, visual identity, and interpreting services. We provided for photography services, coordination of moderator’s work, collection of speakers’ presentations, coordination of the participants of the new products fair, registration of participants, and support for the document check for safety reasons.
