In 2019, we and the Ministry of Education and Science organised a round of discussions devoted to the highest education system in Latvia to encourage its move towards excellence and international competitiveness and to promote the economic growth of Latvia. Conclusions from these discussions with experts were then included in a conceptual report on the change of the highest education management model and in the education development guidelines 2021–2027.
